SKOKIE, IL – Thomas Patterson of The Patterson Law Firm, LLC will speak about ethics and the attorney-client privilege to members of the North Suburban Bar Association (NSBA) at 9:00 a.m. on April 17, 2012. The lecture will take place at the Skokie Court House located at 5600 Old Orchard Rd., Skokie, IL. The event lasts until 3 p.m. and features several speakers discussing a variety of subjects related to ethics.
Patterson, who wrote a book on how to properly handle businesses emergencies that was published by the American Bar Association in 2009, has partnered with ApexCLE and the NSBA to present on the topic “How To Keep Secrets: The Attorney-Client Privilege”.
“Most people believe that when you talk to a lawyer, your communications are kept a secret. However, this is not always the case,” Patterson said. “This presentation will help you recognize the issues that pervade the attorney-client privilege, and thus help you keep your secrets.”
The North Suburban Bar Association strives to ensure the fairness and accessibility of the legal system, promote public understanding and confidence in the justice system and to work closely with the Circuit Court of Cook County to improve the administration of justice.
